Gluten intolerance is on the rise. The reason, I’m not sure exactly…but I’ll leave that to the scientists and doctors to figure out. All I know is there’s a lot of people out there that are getting sick from eating food. Eating is one of those basic pleasures of life that were supposed to enjoy! This has been stolen away from some of us due to a tiny little protein molecule call gluten.
If you’re like me and already know you’re gluten intolerant then you’re one of the lucky ones! That’s right, knowing what’s the cause of your suffering is half the battle. The other half is knowing what to do about it. That’s why I’m writing to tell you how I’ve won the battle. I didn’t do it alone of course; I have to give a colossal mountain of credit to The Gluten Free Club.
What’s the Gluten Free Club? It’s an online support site that puts you on the fast track to living the gluten free life. I don’t want you to end up going down the road I did in the beginning. I spent endless hours searching websites trying to find the recipes and information I needed. If only I’d have known sooner that everything I needed was at one place and it’s even open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (that’s the beauty of websites!)
They’ve got more recipes than you’ll ever need books that guide you through the transition process, helpful and encouraging articles and stories galore. They even have a forum where you can ask questions and converse with others that are going through the same stuff you are.
I’ve been a member for over a year now and I haven’t even seen a quarter of the stuff that’s available to me. What I really like is that I don’t even have to look for a recipe because the Club’s owner Angie Halten sends me free email recipes every other day along with lots of encouraging snippets and a few laughs too!
Now I have to admit that no website is perfect and I do wish there were more videos, especially of how to make some of the gluten free breads but that’s pretty insignificant compared to the difference this club has made in my life.
So why am I telling you all this? It’s because there’s nothing like hearing firsthand about a product before you buy it. In the beginning the learning curve to living gluten free can feel like you have to be a rocket scientist to figure out all this stuff but Angie, the club’s owner makes it easy and has a real down to earth approach that anyone can understand. The Gluten Free Club has made a huge difference in my life and I’m sure it will in your life too.
