Gluten intolerance is on the rise. The reason, I’m not sure exactly…but I’ll leave that to the scientists and doctors to figure out. All I know is there’s a lot of people out there that are getting sick from eating food. Eating is one of those basic pleasures of life that were supposed to enjoy! This has been stolen away from some of us due to a tiny little protein molecule call gluten.

If you’re like me and already know you’re gluten intolerant then you’re one of the lucky ones! That’s right, knowing what’s the cause of your suffering is half the battle. The other half is knowing what to do about it. That’s why I’m writing to tell you how I’ve won the battle. I didn’t do it alone of course; I have to give a colossal mountain of credit to The Gluten Free Club.

What’s the Gluten Free Club? It’s an online support site that puts you on the fast track to living the gluten free life. I don’t want you to end up going down the road I did in the beginning. I spent endless hours searching websites trying to find the recipes and information I needed. If only I’d have known sooner that everything I needed was at one place and it’s even open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (that’s the beauty of websites!)

They’ve got more recipes than you’ll ever need books that guide you through the transition process, helpful and encouraging articles and stories galore. They even have a forum where you can ask questions and converse with others that are going through the same stuff you are.

I’ve been a member for over a year now and I haven’t even seen a quarter of the stuff that’s available to me. What I really like is that I don’t even have to look for a recipe because the Club’s owner Angie Halten sends me free email recipes every other day along with lots of encouraging snippets and a few laughs too!

Now I have to admit that no website is perfect and I do wish there were more videos, especially of how to make some of the gluten free breads but that’s pretty insignificant compared to the difference this club has made in my life.

So why am I telling you all this? It’s because there’s nothing like hearing firsthand about a product before you buy it. In the beginning the learning curve to living gluten free can feel like you have to be a rocket scientist to figure out all this stuff but Angie, the club’s owner makes it easy and has a real down to earth approach that anyone can understand. The Gluten Free Club has made a huge difference in my life and I’m sure it will in your life too.

Gluten Free Recipes That Rock!

September 25th, 2010

The recipes at the Gluten Free Club Rock! In today’s language that translates into they taste awesome! Before joining the Gluten Free Club I made a lot of bread that were literally, “Rocks”. You know, those recipes that produce bread so hard they work great as a doorstop.

I’ve made a lot of the club’s recipes and can say from experience that I’ve enjoyed most all of them, except for the ones that call for cabbage…but that’s only because I don’t like cabbage.

The recipes are a cinch to find. They’re broken down into easy to navigate categories like Appetizers, Breads, Breakfast, Desserts, Pizza and Pasta, Soups, Salads and even the 10 Minute quick ones when you’re in a hurry. I can’t rave enough about the “Chocolate Molten Lava Cakes” a dessert that I think the entire world should know about, especially those of you that are chocolate lovers.

The website is so well organized that I regularly use the site for making my grocery list up for the week. I simply print off a few recipes to make for that week and transfer what I need to my list. As well, whenever I’m out of ideas for what to make for dinner I scan through the website and easily pick from hundreds of creative meal ideas.

A real treasure I’ve found is the “Flour Mix” section. It gives you a variety of flour mix combinations to experiment with in your baking as well as a superb substitute when the ingredients call for wheat flour.

Now if you’re tired of cooking and rather eat out for an evening, no sweat, the Gluten Free Club has a restaurant section where members have posted their comments on numerous restaurants that serve gluten free food from all over the country.

Need an idea for what to cook for dinner? Then the Gluten Free Club is the place to go. Sure there are a lot of free recipes out there but the small price you pay for membership into the club is nothing compared to having access to not only recipes but everything else the club offers. Check it out, I did and eating food is pure joy for me again.

Why Join The Gluten Free Club? – Exclusive Gluten Free Club Review

September 22nd, 2010

I’ve struggled with digestive problems all my life and it wasn’t until a year ago when I finally got diagnosed with Celiac’s. I suffered for years and finally, I knew what was wrong with me. I went home from the doctor’s office with a sack load of pamphlets all fired up about finally being able to eat food without getting sick.

As I rifled through the stack of pamphlets the doctor gave me it didn’t take me long to realize that living the gluten free life was no walk in the park. The stack of info I got at the doctor’s office was only a drop in the bucket of what I needed to know. I then scoured through all the resources I could think of like the internet, the local library and bookstores. There was lots of information out there but it was scattered all over the place. I felt like I was a tiny grain of sand in the gluten free desert of life!

Then one day while sitting with my office colleagues at lunch I was offered a piece of cake, not really knowing whether I should eat it or not I declined and began to tell of my recent diagnosis. To my surprise this opened the door for a colleague of mine to share in their struggle to live gluten free. They told me about a website that practically saved their life!

That’s when I joined the Gluten Free Club. This club met one of my biggest immediate needs and that was, what can I eat? I discovered hundreds of recipes that I had 24 hour access to as well as meal planning tips that saved me money!

Once I had a handle on what to eat then I started reading the free ebooks that were included in my membership. I learned about how I could eat at any restaurant and not get sick by simply knowing a few tips and the right questions to ask.

I discovered the two things I should always take with me in case I accidentally ate gluten. I even got brave enough to try making my own bread (with a bread maker of course) and was blown away to discover the recipes tasted like real bread!

I got a few real eye openers too like finding out how gluten can hide in my kitchen, my makeup bag, my medicine cabinet and even at the dentist’s office.

The best part was discovering that the Government will give me money for eating gluten free on my tax return. Now that’s info anyone likes to get!

I was also shocked to discover that I could actually connect with other gluten free people on the forum. It didn’t take me long to discover the forum was a place to learn life changing information in a few minutes what it took others years to find out. I even got brave and posted a few questions of my own!

Now the site doesn’t have much in the way of fancy videos but it’s got all the gluten free living information you’ll need to get you started and living the gluten free life. Kind of like a one stop shopping for living gluten free.

So why did I write this Gluten Free Club Review? Well, it’s basically to let you know what it’s done for me. It’s worth giving it a chance and hey if you didn’t like it the owner of the website, Angie, guarantees a full refund. Give it a try; you’ll be glad you did.
